PET FRIENDLY

Dec 12, 2018

This is a subtitle for your new post

Here at Executive Property Management, we have several pet friendly properties. We love our pets at home and want our residents to enjoy their pets at their home as well. Do you love your pet? Send us a picture of your pet in front of your apartment and we can post it to our social media page! We love seeing happy tenants, including their pets.

In order for our properties to remain pet friendly, we do have a few rules we ask everyone to abide by:

• All pets must be fully grown and under 35 lbs

• No puppies or kittens

• Must be house trained

• Dogs must be on a leash when outside

• Pick up after your pet outside

• Pets must be registered and immunized in accordance with all applicable laws and requirements

• Dogs cannot bark loudly in an apartment setting

Following these simple rules makes for a happy place, happy residents and happy pets! If you would like to add a pet to your lease or have any questions, contact us.

Moving doesn't have to be stressful. The key is to get organized, know what's required, and get it done. Easy peasy right? If you aren't so sure, check out these helpful tips to ensure a full refund of your security deposit and make your landlord love you forever! 1. Move Out Checklist. If you don't have one from your current landlord, ask for one. The move out checklist is designed to get you the maximum refund of your deposit based on the landlord's requirements. If you have any questions during your move out, the checklist should be your go-to guide. 2. Follow The Lease Requirements. Keep utilities in your name and pay your rent until the day your lease ends. Review your lease to ensure you don't have any lease violations. 3. CLEAN, CLEAN CLEAN. Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust. Wipe down cabinets, drawers, appliances (inside and out). (Pro Tip: vacuum the inside of your oven to remove crumbs left behind) 4. Replace Light Bulbs and Smoke Detector Batteries. 5. Remove All Belongings From The Premise. Trust me, it's not as thoughtful/helpful as you may think to leave behind your old cleaning supplies. 6. Leave ALL Keys Inside Your Unit . Front door keys, mailbox keys, duplicate keys, keys keys keys... ALL they keys. We recommend leaving your keys somewhere visible, i.e. the kitchen counter. 7. DO NOT Make Repairs Or Touchup The Paint. Unless told otherwise, do not make any permanent changes or repairs to the property. Often, it costs more to fix your "repairs" than it does to have it done right the first time. Leave it to the landlord to fix and it may be a minimal charge to your deposit. 8. Forwarding Address. Make sure your landlord has the correct address on file to mail your deposit refund. Typically, the deposit is due about 30 days after your lease officially ends. 9. Move Out Inspection. Schedule your move out inspection. If you cannot be there for the inspection, notate the conditions of the property and take photos. 10. Final Payments. Stop all autopayments for rent and utilities. If your last month's rent is prorated, make sure you adjust your payment to reflect the correct amount. Unless specified in your lease contract, deposits are 100% refundable based on property conditions. Believe it or not, most reputable landlords are not out to get you and keep your money! So take your time, clean, clean, clean and you should be just fine! *Fun fact: It is not common practice to repaint each property before a new tenant moves in. Touch up painting is common, but full repaint is a little unnecessary.
